FAMILY IS SPLIT

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Touré has revealed that his family is split due to the title race with Liverpool, as his brother Kolo Toure plays for the Merseyside club. Kolo Toure moved to Anfield in the summer on a free transfer after Manchester City decided not to extend his contract.

Yaya Touré, on the other hand, has been one of the best players in the league this season. Despite being a midfielder, he has scored more than 20 goals in all competitions with some of them being spectacular and contenders for the goal of the season.

Yaya Touré, though, told the nederland australie odds website that all is not well within his family since some are supporting Liverpool, while some are supporting Manchester City. City are behind Liverpool in the table, but they have a game in hand. Their last two matches will be against Aston Villa and West Ham at home, where they have been very strong. Liverpool, meanwhile, have a difficult away match against Crystal Palace tonight. They will be looking to recover from the 2-0 defeat suffered at the hands of Chelsea last week. That defeat has taken destiny out of their hands.

City managed a comfortable win over Everton during the weekend. This was seen as the last of the tough matches for them.

“Oh yes, it’s been really difficult. You can’t imagine how difficult. Your family have to try to be balanced – they are divided. Sport is unbelievable in that it can break hearts. If it is my brother who wins it I would still be happy for him. It would be amazing for him, but whatever I’m doing I always try to win – I’ve always been the same. I will only lose if someone is better than us. But it’s still so tight. Liverpool still have a chance and so do Chelsea – they beat us twice, don’t forget. It’s going to be exciting,” said Yaya.
